Kobalt Blade case is packed with CoolIT cooling gear

Bit Tech spotted the first case from Kobalt at CeBIT last week. The aluminum chassis is named Kobalt Blade and the internals are pretty impressive, the case ships with four CoolIT Elite multi-TEC coolers to chill two watercooled loops for every component.

Inside the case was a Intel Core i7 965 at 4.4GHz, a ASUS Rampage II Extreme motherboard with Full EK watercooling, 6GB of watercooled OCZ FlexEX DDR 1866MHz memory, four BFG GeForce GTX 295 graphics cards with EK waterblocks in Quad SLI and a Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 1200W PSU.
The entire chassis is 100 percent aluminium and the CoolIT Elites sit in the top with the hot air venting upwards and outwards. The Elites are designed to make use of multiple TEC coolers – each one works at just a fraction of its rated value as the power consumption to cooling ratio drops off the more volts are passed through. The CoolIT guys found that by running several together instead of just a couple the cooling performance was far more efficient (but inevitably more expensive).
