Japanese tech site PC Watch published some details about the upcoming RealSSD series from Micron.
There are two series; the MLC-based C200 and the SLC-based P200. The C200 series will be available in 2.5" and 1.8" SATA, with capacities ranging from 30GB to 240GB. These SSDs are aimed at notebooks and desktop PCs, they promise sustained read speeds of 170MB/s and write speeds of 70MB/s. Random write speeds are unknown though, and that's the real culprit of many consumer SSDs.
The P200 on the other hand is aimed at server, industrial and networking applications. It ships in a 2.5" SATA form factor with storage capacities from 25GB to 100GB. This SSD will have sustained read speeds of 180MB/s and write speeds of 115MB/s.
