Techware Labs has reviewed 2 HD's from Samsung,
The SP8004H (80GB) & the SP4002H (40GB) :
As shown in the previous benchmarks the Samsung SP8004H 80G HD and Samsung SP4002H 40G HD perform exceptionally well. In the Sisoft SANDRA benchmark both drives perform better than my Western Digital 80G 7200 rpm HD. Surprisingly the WD 80G performed a tad better in some parts for the HD Tach benchmark than the Samsung drives. Although only by a few kps.

Other than actual benchmark performance both these drives performed phenomenally. The silent operation of both drives is very pleasant to get used to. The NoiseGuard and SilentSeek technologies incorporated in these drives do live up to their names. Samsung has sure done their homework in developing these two new technologies to make sure the work and work effectively.
