The RX480 North-bridge chip from ATI will be marketed as Radeon Xpress 200 and the RS480 with integrated graphics core will be launched as Radeon Xpress 200G.
Although the company claimed that it had already begun shipping the products in late September, volume shipments of the two PCIe-enabled chips are expected to start in mid-November, the sources added.

The Radeon Xpress 200-series chipsets are ATI’s first chipsets to support the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) K8 platform. They will compete with the Nvidia nForce 4 series and the K8T890 K8 chipsets from VIA Technologies.
