The card is relatively affordable and will be a cheaper alternative to the Radeon HD 4850. It's the first 40nm card from ATI, it features the RV740 GPU with 826 million transistors. The chip offers 640 stream processors, 32 texture units, 16 ROP units, 128-bit memory bus, and 512MB GDDR5. The core will be clocked at 750MHz and memory at 800MHz.
The Radeon HD 4770 will deliver a computing power of 960 gigaFLOPS and the memory bandwidth will be 51.2GB/s. The power consumption of this 40nm card will be 80W, down from 110W on the slightly more powerful Radeon HD 4850.
