Bright Side of News spotted that Peracon has put Qimonda's 200mm and 300mm fabs in Richmond, Virginia up for sale. These plants from the insolvent German memory maker can make 70nm, 80nm and 90nm DRAM, and some tooling for 65nm was installed as well.
More details on the 300mm fab show 101,000 square feet[9383 m2] Class 1,000 cleanroom, while the 200mm fab holds 85,000 square foot [7898 m2] Class 1 cleanroom.

In case your name is IBM, SUN, GlobalFoundries or any other, and want to buy liquidating facilities that can produce millions of chips you might want to check your wallet if you can afford to make a good offer. This world leading DRAM tech fab sure will be worth it!
