MSI U123 netbook with Atom N280 launched

MSI has introduced the U123 netbook, this system has a 10" LED-backlit LCD display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and features the Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor. It has the Intel 945GSE + ICH7-M chipsets, 1GB DDR2 533MHz memory, up to 160GB 1.6" HDD, 4-in-1 memory card reader, two (U123T) or three (U123/U123H) USB 2.0 ports, 3 or 6 cell battery, 802.11b/g/b WiFi, optional Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a 1.3MP (2MP optional) webcam. The U123H also has 3.5G HSDPA, while the U123T version has a built-in TV tuner.

The MSI U123 series measures 260mm x 180mm x 9.75-33mm and weighs around 1kg.
U123 Series are light and compact which fit into an A4-sized bag but come with a relatively large screen and keyboard. U123 Series’ styling will be different from the round and cute U100. It will have sharper lines and more stylish new colors like the pearl white, dolphin gray, midnight blue and silver red favored by young professional office workers.

Further, U123 Series use the latest Atom platform from Intel and basic HDD capacity has been upgraded to 160GB. Other specifications include 2GB of DRAM, a 10" display and Windows compatibility.

For mobile business applications, U123 Series have also been fitted with 802.11b/g/n WiFi and 3.5G mobile network cards (U123H only).

Additionally, the integrated TV tuner allows you to watch and record TV programs right on your U123T. Simply connect the antenna and you’ll never have to miss an episode of your favorite TV program again!
