Apple Mac Tax investigated: two Mac Pro systems vs PC

Posted on Thursday, April 23 2009 @ 05:40:52 CEST by

Theo Valich from Bright Side of News is building a new system for Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection and compared the price difference of a Mac Pro from Apple and a PC configured with very similar specifications. We all know Macs carry a hefty price tag, but this case points out it can be very extreme.

The first PC system Valich configured cost $2,262.85, which is a shocking $1,665.15 cheaper than its Mac counterpart. The second PC system is the King of Adobe CS4 Mountain, it costs $3,944.33 while its Mac counterpart is priced at $6,927! You can check it out over here.
