Intel Core i5 2.66GHz Lynnfield chip gets benched

Asian tech site XFastest got their hands on an engineering sample of the upcoming Core i5 2.66Gz quad-core processor from Intel, the Lynnfield chip was mounted in an P55 reference design motherboard and got tested in several benchmarks. You can check it out over here.

Here are EVEREST Ultimate Edition CPU scores of this Core i5 processor:
  • CPU Queen: 21802
  • CPU PhotoWorxx: 20971
  • CPU AES: 21150
  • Below are results of the same tests with the AMD Phenom II X4 940 3Gz processor:
  • CPU Queen: 18669
  • CPU PhotoWorxx: 21717
  • CPU AES: 21475
