Futurelooks has reviewed Samsung's SW-232 CDRW :
The Samsung SW-232B CD-R/CD-RW drive overall seems to come up short in only one area which would be overall speed. If you’re one for perfection, you may want to skip this drive if you expect to get true 32x burning. One thing I noticed during the time that I reviewed the drive, was that it was EXTREMELY quiet. This is something that is nice to see. Not only are the drives getting faster, but they’re also becoming more subtle in the amount of noise they create during the burning, reading, or re-writing process. In my original 1x burner from Hewlett Packard, the drive sounded like it was having electronic convulsions during the writing process or reading process. Then again it was the latest and greatest at the time. With the Samsung SW-232B CD-R/CD-RW drive it is currently priced at $50 USD at PriceGrabber. For the price you can’t really go wrong.
