AMD to implant Axcelis for 45 nano tech

Acxcelis said it will supply single wafer implant technology to AMD's fab in Dresden, aimed at improving 90 nanometre and 45 nanometre technology. The firm said device scaling for processes smaller than 90 nanometres needs a different kind of approach and it has created a single wafer platform in anticipation of the shift to 45 nanometres.
