Apple won't have a booth at CES

CEA, the company behind the CES, said Apple has not signed up to exhibit at the event. The rumor that Steve Jobs has been invited to deliver a keynote speech has been confirmed, but Jobs has not yet accepted this invitation.
Those who believed that Apple would move to go a bit more mainstream by exhibiting at CES will be a bit disappointed, but it is believed that Apple will just continue to march to the beat of its own drummer. Still, many believe that Apple will have to start being more active in events like CES to take advantage of the amount of press that these events bring to call attention to the products they are making and to focus a greater emphasis on consumer oriented products; and CES would seem to be one place that Apple should really be.
