The new LiteOn LTR-48125W 48/12/48 CD Writer is the fastest CD writer The Tech Zone has ever tested. It's so fast that the CD media makers haven't been able to keep up with it. Before we lust the thought of burning our CD-R's at the possible fastest speed, we faced a problem regarding the availability of compatible media; moreover, attaining media that allows up to 48X write speed. Furthermore, a trip to the local Futureshop retailer proved to be disappointing as the fastest media available for sale was only a 40X CD-R. Moreover, it was the same story at every other computer retailer in the area. The lacky of availability regarding compatible media evidently forced us to test the LTR-48125W with the only packaged 48X CD-R that came with the package.
