Earlier this year ThermalTake amazed us with the Level 10 case, a chassis that was designed in cooperation with BMW Group DesignWorksUSA. So far, it has only been shown at CeBIT and Computex, but today the company announced the Level 10 Extreme Gaming Station is ready to enter mass production. The futuristic case will be available in retail stores in October for a whopping $690.

What makes the Level 10 unique is its compartmentalized design, many of the components are mounted in chambers that rotate outward on hinges.
Earlier this year the Level 10 won the prestigious IDEA®2009 Bronze Award, as the Level 10 entirely breaks with traditional case architecture conventions and explores a daring and futuristic concept in which most components are compartmentalized, making the case an open and modular structure, allowing for most convenient access to and exchangeability of the most important components. The IDEA® (International Design Excellence Awards) program is the premier international competition honoring design excellence in products, ecodesign, interaction design, packaging, strategy, research and concepts.

Full details and specifications about the case can be found at TT Level 10.
