AMD: "Fourth quarter profits will be down"

Chip firm AMD said that sales for its fourth quarter up Boxing Day last year will be up a little from the $1.24 billion it reported for the third quarter. But it warned that operating profit for the fourth quarter will be 'significantly down' from the $68.4 million it earned in its third quarter
