Lite-on to produce DVD drives for HP

Lite-on has signed a contract with HP, making them the biggest DVD drives producer.
The agreement will mean that Lite-On will manufacture, qualify, market, support and distribute HP-branded optical drives. The Taiwanese firm suggest that suggest that its expertise and experience in the DVD channel, combined with HP's brand name and 'strict quality and branding standards' will make it a success.
