Taiwanese sales of Voice over IP (VoIP) was worth $403 million in the second half of last year, a growth of 122% compared to the first half of last year.

The growth is caused by both consumers and corporate users.
The $108 million shipments to the enterprise segment was made up of 6.1% gateways, and 93.9% phones. CIsco and Nortel both outsourced products to Taiwanese companies.

Although shipments are soaring, average sales prices are falling - that's because of better semiconductor integration, said MIC.
