Blu-ray still four times more expensive than DVD

OEM quotes for Blu-ray disc drives have dropped to $70-80, still much higher than about $20 for DVD drives, according to sources at Taiwanese optical disc makers.

Blu-ray continues to drop in price, but isn't expected to become popular until prices fall to a low enough level to replace DVD.
