Intel Core i7 870s slated for Q3 2010

FUD Zilla reports Intel is planning to introduce the Core i7 870s in Q3 2010, this will be a lower clocked version of the Core i7 870 with a 13W lower TDP. The chip is clocked at 2.66GHz (vs 2.93GHz on the standard model) but both chips have a Turbo mode of 3.6GHz.
Core i7 870s is in the plans for a few months and this will be a lower clocked version of the Core i7 870. The Core i7 870s comes clocked at 2.66GHz while the plain Core i7 870 is clocked to 2.93GHz, but both CPUs can reach the 3.6GHz with Turbo.

The i7 870s has an 82W TDP, while the Core i7 870 has a TDP of 95W, but the rest of the specs is the same. Both chips are based on Lynnfield quad core and they both fit in Socket 1156.
