Similar to the technology used in Intel Centrino Mobile Technology, EIST can enable power-saving by reducing overall average processor power consumption.The Pentium 4 processor 6xx series feature Hyper-Threading technology and come in speeds up to 3.60GHz, with an 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache and Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST).
The new Pentium 4 Extreme Edition runs at 3.73GHz with an 1066MHz FSB and 2MB L2 cache.
