VG247 published a bunch of rumors about Sony's PlayStation Portable 2. According to the site's sources, it's now 99 percent sure that the device will not be announced at next month's E3 show. An announcement at Gamescom or TGS is more likely, with a launch slated for early 2011.

One source revealed the new handheld console will be very powerful, it reportedly features a four-core Cell processor. Other rumors claim the device has a touchscreen plus the traditional PlayStation buttons and two cameras (one forward and one backward facing).

Also interesting is a claim that the device has 3G support, the same source states that there may not be any kind of physical media involved with the PSP2.
