AMD touts Turion 64 technology

On the sidelines of the Intel Developer Forum (IDF), AMD has been promoting its AMD Turion 64 technology.
Although Intel has continued to promote its strategy to sell its new CPUs, core logic and wireless chipsets as packaged platform solutions, sources at AMD said that the company will launch the Turion 64 independently but will promote the CPU in cooperation with other chipmakers, including ATI Technologies, Nvidia, VIA Technologies and Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS).
