Apple's shares drop 5.19% due to Sony's new Walkman

Apple's shares dropped 5.19 percent today as Sony launched a new line of flash-based music players that should compete with Apple's iPod shuffle. The new Walkman from Sony has MP3 support and is a bit more expensive as the iPod shuffle - but they do offer more features such as a color display.

Apple's shares dropped with 2.22 to 40.53 - a 5.19 percent loss.
Sony's shares rose 1.17 to 41.02 - a 4.35 percent gain.
