LCD panel makers feeling impact from Chinese salary rises

DigiTimes reports Taiwanese LCD panel makers are starting to feel the effects from the recently salary hikes in China:
TFT-LCD panel makers in Taiwan have started to feel the effects from recent salary hikes in China as system makers and OEM players have started to use the issue as a bargaining tool for price reductions, according to market sources.

OEM players are putting pressure on upstream component suppliers, including panel makers, for price reduction in order to release their pressure on cost from the rising labor fee, the sources added.
