Nintendo America president Reggie Fils-Aime denied rumors that the 3DS handheld console would be launched in October. He didn't reveal a specific launch date, but stated that the 3DS won't appear until next year.
Nintendo said that it would not ship its much-anticipated 3DS portable game console in 2010. This contradicts to earlier information based on which the launch time-frame of the 3DS was in October ’10.

“Nintendo 3DS will not be arriving in 2010. 3DS won’t be appearing until next year” said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime during the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon talk show, reports Venture Beat web-site.
