Digital music player market to face a fierce growth

This year the sales of digital music players will grow with roughly 57 percent, after they more than doubled last year.

In the next five years shipments of MP3 players will grow rfom 36.8 million last year to approx. 132 million units in 2009.
Sales of HDD-based players will increase to 56.2 million units in 2009, up from 9.8 million in 2004. By that year, HDD players will be 43 percent of the total MP3 market, up from 27 percent in 2004.
