ASUS rolled out the 14.1" B43 and 15.6" B53, two new business laptops with the new Sonata battery technology from Boston-Power. These batteries have higher reliability than li-ion batteries, like the rest of the laptop the batteries are covered by a 3-year warranty, and the company claims they maintain peak performance for over 900 charge cycles, more than triple the normal li-ion battery life cycle. The B-series features three-cell 47Whr batteries from Boston-Power, these are comparable to 6-cell li-ion batteries as they provide a 4-hour battery life, and ASUS claims they can be charged to 90 percent of their capacity in just 90 minutes.

The shell of the laptop is made out of aluminium and the keyboard is spill-resistant. Both models use a 1366 x 768 pixel LCD screen and are available with Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors, integrated graphics or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470, up to 4GB DDR3, a 320GB HDD, ATI Eyefinity support (for two extra displays), built-in TPM module, and a fingerprint scanner. Pricing and availability is unknown.
Reliable and secure, ASUS Commercial Series notebooks are designed to perform in the business world. They have been subjected to stringent durability tests which include drop and pressure tests that surpass industry standards. These notebooks come with Anti-Shock Hard Drives, smart card access, TPM and fingerprint logins as well as ASUS Secure Delete to provide unprecedented levels of security.

The Ideal Business Solution—ASUS B Series
The B Series notebooks feature the latest Intel® Core™ processors with vPro technology as well as switchable graphics that offer both energy-efficiency and optimized performance modes.

ASUS has partnered with battery manufacturer Boston-Power® to provide the Nordic Ecolabel and China CEC-accredited battery for the B43 and B53 Commercial Series notebooks. These batteries maintain peak performance for over 900 charge cycles—more than triple the normal lithium ion battery life cycle. And with ASUS Xpress Charge, a fully- drained battery can be charged to 90 percent capacity in just 90 minutes.

In addition to security measures like smart card, TPM, and fingerprint logins, ASUS Secure Delete lets the user completely erase data via a drag-and-drop interface. In some markets, there is also the optional Intel Anti-Theft Technology and Computrace® LoJack® for Laptops, which allows the user to trace and recover stolen notebooks.

ASUS B Series notebooks are the world’s first to offer ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology, allowing for simultaneously connections on up to three displays. The notebooks can be paired with the ASUS Power Station II dock for easy connections to a range of peripherals and communication devices.

Simplifying Business with the ASUS P Series
The P Series comes with NVIDIA® Optimus™ technology to deliver a balance of performance and extended battery life, automatically switching from the integrated graphics processor to the GPU when the user runs graphics-intensive applications like presentations or photo- editing tools.

The P Series comes with a host of user-friendly features. ASUS Scene Switch makes it presentation-ready with a mere touch of a hotkey. ASUS Palm-proof Technology helps minimize errors during typing by detecting the differences between fingertip and palm touch points. It also comes with an intuitive BIOS interface with touchpad and mouse controls.

The P Series has the durable Anti-Shock Hard Drive, and like the B Series, it comes with security features like ASUS Secure Delete, while Computrace® LoJack® for Laptops is available for some markets.

Its red dot award winning design is finished in brushed aluminum and houses the ergonomic iF award-winning chiclet keyboard or wave keyboard.

Too bad it only has a 1366 x 768 resolution :( Like the new Sonata technology though.
