Edge Magazine notes Microsoft is one of the latest major tech giants to get into mobile gaming:
“Microsoft Games Studios Mobile Gaming will support first party development" and "evangelise mobile gaming across MGS", according to a Microsoft job posting. “The Mobile Gaming studio will be the hub for MGS franchises and titles on mobile devices and a center of excellence for mobile games," it adds.

Set to launch later this year, Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Series will incorporate Xbox Live and Zune functionality, including "multiplayer interaction" and the ability to see avatars, achievements and gamer profiles.
