Age of Empires Online officially announced

Microsoft officially unveiled Age of Empires Online, a new Games for Windows Live based version of the popular RTS classic. The game has a cartoonish look and will focus heavily on cooperation with other gamers via Games for Windows Live, although it will also be possible to build your civilization offline. You can subscribe to join the beta program at Age of Empires Online.
With more than 20 million copies sold worldwide, the “Age of Empires” series redefined real-time strategy games for Windows-based PC players. Now, the timeless franchise once again invites players to experience its rich storyline in new ways.
