Acer will show off its LumiRead at next week's IFA conference in Berlin, this new contender in the eReader market offers a 6" E Ink screen with 800 x 600 pixel resolution. Acer reportedly secured a content deal with Barnes & Noble, the device has a web browser and users will be able to access toe Internet via 3G or WiFi.

Acer equipped its eReader with 2GB of internal storage capacity and a microSD memory enables you to add even more storage room. The eReader features a large QWERTY keyboard, and one of the unique features is its ISBN scanner that allows you to scan ISBN codes to create your own wish-list and search on supported online libraries and book stores.

The company confirmed the eReader will start shipping in Germany in October, but refused to share details about the device's prices. Unofficial rumors claim the device will offer free access to the Internet via 3G, but the rumored price tag of 250EUR seems pretty high considering that Amazon's Kindle 3 with WiFi + 3G can be imported in Germany for around 190EUR.
