MSN Messenger 7 Polygamy and ads remover

MSN 7 contains a lot of features that some users will find unnecessary or even irritating. So here's a link to MSN 7 Universal Patcher++ v0.3 beta. This small tool will allow the following things:

Polygamy - allows you to open multiple MSN clients
Remove the banner ads
Hide the tabs
Remove the Ad Bar
Remove the MSN Search feature
Remove the Actions Panel

Only use it at your own risk, some people seem to have problems with this patch while for others it works perfect.

installed it, msn crashed the first time i reopened it. Lost all my contacts except one,seems randon which one it kept,i removed ad bar and msn search, looks like it removed alot more than i thought it would. looks like i have to start rebuilding my list from scratch. All my contacts presently intact inside of hotmail. Thanks alot dvhardware...

I installed this ad remover and the only problem which I encounter is that I can not show the music I listen in my MSN-tag...

Any one has an idea?

reinstalling, deleting and then again reinstalling does not work!

  If you open WMP> Tools> Pulg-ins> MSN Messenger Music Plugin!
  But only works if the MSN Messenger Plugin is alredy installed!

I havn't installed this plugin and the contact list did that same thing yours did. It kept 1 contact that I added last. I'm trying to find the list on another computer I've been on... don't know where to look though.

same thing happend to me. luckily I use Trillian, which stores contacts locally... screw MSN... go with Trillian guys!

Hey... no need to install patches or anything. I found a way to disable all ads and useless links (including tabs) without installing anything or editing the registry. All you have to do is edit your hosts file to contain a false entry for config.messenger.msn.com. This is only confirmed for MSN Messenger Version 7.0. Works 100% for me, running last build of msn7 and using msn plus, and plugins....to the lamer who DIDN'T back up your msn before hand, or at least do a restore point on his PC, better luck next time....James msn: james_admin@ccw-messageboard.co.uk

After reading that it removed contacts.. i was a bit scared to use it as i have over 220 contacts. but it worked fine

I can use poly but it doesnt removed the ads and the rest.. maybe because i use messenger plus 3 and sweetix.. but thats no problem. Im glad i have poly now THX
