Micron begun shipping world's first 4GB DDR2 memory module on Monday.
While the 240-pin PC2-3200 DIMMs are only intended for workstations and servers, the release at least proves that Micron has the ability to release similar DIMMs into the PC market, if demand materializes. A spokeswoman for Crucial Technology, a module maker and division of Micron, could not be contacted for comment at press time.
