ExtremeTech reports ASUS denies rumors that Microsoft is planning to charge Taiwanese firms royalty fees for devices with Android:
AsusTek has since denied the charges in a filing Monday to Taiwan Stock Exchange Corp., according to Focus Taiwan.

"We cautiously clarify that there is no such a thing," AsusTek said in response to a local media report (which may have been different than the Focus Taiwan article). AsusTek went on to say it owned many patents itself, and that it had always respected the protection and use of patent rights.
