NEC preps expensive 30-inch IPS screen

NEC will soon introduce the MultiSync PA301W, a new 30" LCD display with a 10-bit IPS panel. The screen offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, built-in 14-bit LUT, 107% Adobe RGB coverage, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 6ms response time, and 350 nits brightness. The screen has a standard CCFL backlight and is aimed at professional graphics users. Pricing is expected to be around 2,259EUR.

No RGB LED backlight in this day and age? At this price level?

Sorry NEC - back to school with you. 10 bit panels are easy street. 14bit LUT not all that impressive anymore. For the price you want you should have done a lot better.
