Intel storage driver gets support for 3TB HDDs

TC Mag noticed Intel has updated its RST (Rapid Storage Technology) driver to support HDDs with a capacity greater than 2.2TB.
The RST 10.1.0.1008 driver is available here and it works with multiple Intel-based motherboards, up to those powered by the 5 Series chipsets.

Intel warns though, that support for 2.2+ TB drives isn't the same with booting to such storage solutions. For that you'll need an operating system and UEFI BIOS that supports booting to a GPT partition.
