Sources at notebook vendors told DigiTimes that they're seeing R&D delays for Android 3.0 tablets because Google is giving priority for Android 3.0 support to smartphone makers.
Notebook vendors have expressed concerns about the launch schedule of their Android 3.0 tablet PCs as Google is currently giving priority for Android 3.0 support mainly to smartphone players such as Motorola, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, High Tech Computer (HTC) and Nokia, leaving notebook vendors facing delays in their R&D schedules.

Since the notebook vendors are unable to receive priority support from Google, and are meanwhile seeing dropping netbook sales because of tablet PCs and may even see their entry-level notebooks and all-in-one PCs affected as well, the vendors are now under significant pressure, according to sources from the companies.
