NASA temporarily stopped preparations for space shuttle Discovery's launch as the managers are debating concerns that debris might damage the craft during liftoff.
NASA has targeted May 22 as a launch date for the first shuttle's return to flight. If more time is needed to review concerns or make additional changes on the tank, managers would have few options except to delay the launch until a new window from July 13 to July 31.
