Apple released the latest incarnation of Mac OS X on Friday. The new Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger features over 200 new features. Most of them aren't huge but there are a number of major changes.
One of them is Spotlight. This fast search tool will allow users to search their PC for documents, pictures, movies, e-mails, calendar events and much more. Spotlight searches by text content, file names and keywords.
Another cool new feature is Dashboard. This application allows users to add and rearrange panels called Widgets on their desktop. These can display all kinds of information like stock quotes, the weather, unit converters, language translators, yellow pages a calculator and more.
Queue lines in shops were quite long after the release of Mac OS X 10.4 as many people wanted to get their hands on this new update from Apple.
