Acer stills aims for number one spot in laptop market

Posted on Friday, January 21 2011 @ 20:07:09 CET by

Marketshare data from IDC revealed last week that Acer lost a lot of its marketshare in Q4 2010, but Acer chairman JT Wang is still clinging to his goal to become the number one notebook maker worldwide in 2010:
Acer chairman JT Wang has reiterated that Acer aims to become the number one notebook vendor worldwide in 2011 and will also make a significant achievement in the tablet PC segment.

Wang made the remarks on the sidelines of a two-day conference between Acer and its suppliers from January 20-21 in Taipei. However, Wang did not elaborate on Acer's shipment goals for 2011.
