Apple updates iMac G5 line

Apple presented an updated iMac G5 computer line, featuring faster 64-bit processors and graphics capabilities. The new iMac G5 will take advantage of the new Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" OS and will incorporate AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.

The new iMacs will feature an ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card with 128MB of memory. It can be bought together with a 17-inch (1440x900 resolution) or 20-inch (1680x1050 resolution) widescreen display.

The new iMac G5 line starts at $1,299 for the one with a 17-inch widescreen, 1.8GHz processor and 160GB HDD. The high-end version ships for $1,799 and features a 20-inch widescreen, 2GHz processor and 250GB HDD. More info at eWeek
