Plextor M2S SSD to offer up to 480MB/s

Next month Plextor will start shipping the M2S, a new line of solid state disks with the Marvell 88SS9174 controller. These disks feature an aluminium enclosure and come with a SATA 6Gbps interface, 128MB DDR3 cache, TRIM support and a 3-year warranty.

The Plextor M2S will ship in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities. The latter one will offer read speeds of up to 480MB/s and write speeds of up to 330MB/s, while the other two are limited to 210/410MB/s and 110/370MB/s, respectively, when reading/writing.

Pricing is still unknown.
