FCC had far exceeded its authority with Broadcasting Flag

The MPAA is quite angered because an appeals court struck down one of the FCCs rules, stating that the FCC had far exceeded its authority.
At the cartels' behest, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) had provisionally ruled digital TVs would have to recognize a ‘broadcast flag' embedded in programs.
