Nicole Scott from NetbookNews reports ASUS will introduce the Eee Pad Transformer in Taiwan on March 25th, a couple of days earlier than anticipated.
Pre-order of this slate with detachable keyboard start bright and early at 8am. There aren’t too many surprises in the announcement, this 10.1″ is coming with Android 3.0, Tegra 2, 1GB DDR2 and a 16GB and 32GB option. The real questions are going be answered on Friday when we get to take a look at the Honeycomb customization while you’re using the keyboard. Software and price point are the two big questions and The Phonehouse in Spain has stated that it will be selling the the Transformer at 399€ with out the keyboard, a price point with the keyboard was not given. The official word from ASUS is still its $400-$700 and a 399€ would put it at $560 without the dock. This is in the price point but we have our fingers crossed that with keyboard and 32GB we aren’t going to see it much above the $700 range.
