This evening Microsoft will present the Xbox 360 on MTV. According to Forbes' sources the company has spend about $500,000 to buy the 30-minute infomercial on MTV. It is regarded as a real bargain as Microsoft might reach 87 million potential buyers for its next-generation console.
The expense is steep for a one-time ad buy but for a company with Microsoft's resources, it's pocket change--not to mention money well spent. MTV reaches virtually every U.S. cable household and will help the company reach its targeted Xbox demographic--young males.
On May 16 Sony will reveals its competitor to Microsoft's Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3. Read more at Forbes
