MPAA sues TV download sites

Posted on Friday, May 13 2005 @ 20:22:22 CEST by

The MPAA announced it has filed lawsuits against six websites that offer access to pirated TV content. The six sites are ShunTV, Zonatracker, Btefnet, Scifi-Classics, CDDVDHeaven and Bragginrights.
The suits are focused on the sites that serve as traffic directors for BitTorrent swaps, rather than on individual computer users uploading and downloading content. The MPAA also has sued individuals, but has not said how many people have been targeted.
