DigiTimes claims Intel has contracted Lite-On IT to manufacture solid state disks with Marvell's new SATA 6Gbps controller:
Lite-On IT has reportedly landed OEM orders for SSDs from Intel. The SSDs will be built using Marvell's controller chips with SATA III interface. Lite-On IT declined to comment.

Lite-On IT also obtained OEM orders for SSDs from Dell and Japan-based Plextor, according to earlier reports.

While Intel and Micron Technology are using controller chips from Marvell for their SSDs, other makers including OCZ, Kingston Technology and Adata Technology use similar controller chips from Sandforce.
