Reuters reports two industry executives claim there are talks between Apple and Intel that might even lead to a shift from IBM to Intel processors for Apple.

Apple however denies the report stating it is based on rumor and speculation. According to analysts adopting Intel chips might help Apple to lower prices and to keep up performance.
Apple could choose to add some Intel-based models to its product line or make a complete shift to Intel's chip technology in what would be seen as a serious blow to IBM's microprocessor business, the newspaper said.
