ATI today officially announced its Multi VPU technology will be called Crossfire, but it will work a little bit different as some rumors stated.

The company said users will need to buy a new master card to use Crossfire. ATI also stated the cards don't need to be bridged inside but do need to be bridged outside.

ATI's Crossfire will be launched on June 1 at Computex. More info at The Inquirer
