Computer data hostaged for $200

Security experts discovered a new type of internet attack. They report of a corporate customer who felt victim to a virus that encrypted all documents, photographs and spreadsheets on his computer.

The attacker left a note with his e-mail address, and demanded $200 to unlock the files. More details at Wired
