HP and Dell to debut ultrabooks within couple of months

DigiTimes heard that HP will introduce ultrabooks by the end of 2011 while Dell will wait until the first quarter of 2012.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Dell will launch ultrabooks at the end of 2011 and the first quarter of 2012 respectively, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers.

HP has had Taiwan-based Quanta Computer prepare to start ODM production of its ultrabooks at the end of 2011, while Wistron is designing a 14-inch model for Dell for debut in the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the sources indicated.
